Murray HVAC Pros opened its doors in 2018 on the corner of 900 East - about a mile from where most of our techs grew up. We started small: one truck, two techs, a few hundred neighbors we already knew by name.
The reason we started: every owner had spent years working at the big regional HVAC chains and watching the same story repeat - homeowners getting upsold on a $6,000 replacement when a $250 capacitor was the real problem, salespeople pushing oversized equipment because the commission was higher, “24/7 emergency lines” that routed to call centers in another time zone. The local people doing the actual work knew it was a problem. We left and built the company we'd want to call when our own furnace died.
Today we run a small fleet out of the same Murray shop, with the same approach: real diagnostics before quotes, real Murray techs in real Murray trucks, real after-hours pickup. We're still small enough that the owner answers the phone half the time.
