Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website murrayhvacpros.com (the "Site") and any HVAC services provided by Murray HVAC Pros ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our Site, requesting an estimate, or scheduling service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

Murray HVAC Pros provides residential heating, cooling, and HVAC services to customers in Murray, Utah and the surrounding Salt Lake Valley. Our services include but are not limited to furnace repair, furnace replacement, furnace maintenance, heat pump service, air conditioning repair, AC replacement, AC maintenance, ductless mini-split installation and service, smart thermostat installation, and 24/7 emergency heating and cooling response.

Some service work may be performed by qualified, licensed, and insured subcontractors retained by Murray HVAC Pros to fulfill your service request. Murray HVAC Pros remains the contracting party and is responsible for the services we provide.

2. Estimates and Pricing

Verbal estimates are non-binding. Written estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified.

Diagnostic and service-call fees, when charged, are disclosed before a technician is dispatched and are applied as a credit toward any approved repair invoice. You will not be billed twice for the same diagnostic visit.

Pricing for parts and labor may vary based on actual scope encountered on-site. Any material change to the quoted scope or price will be communicated to you before additional work proceeds, and additional work requires your approval.

Estimated cost ranges referenced on our Site (for example, "typical capacitor replacement runs $150 to $300") are general Salt Lake Valley market ranges shown for informational purposes only and are not binding quotes.

3. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other forms of payment as offered at the time of service. Financing options may be available for qualifying installations through a third-party financing partner; financing terms are between you and the financing partner.

4. Service Standards

Technicians performing service on our behalf (whether employed by Murray HVAC Pros or working as qualified subcontractors) are required to:

  • Hold an active Utah HVAC contractor license issued by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL), where applicable to the work performed
  • Carry general liability insurance
  • Hold EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling, where applicable

License status of any Utah HVAC contractor can be verified through the DOPL public lookup at dopl.utah.gov.

5. Warranty

Murray HVAC Pros warrants the labor on repair services for one (1) year from the date of service. Manufacturer warranties on parts apply per the manufacturer's terms, typically one to ten years depending on the component.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from misuse, neglect, or lack of routine maintenance
  • Power surges, acts of nature, or other events outside our control
  • Work performed by another party after our service
  • Pre-existing conditions disclosed at the time of service

6. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to your equipment and the work area
  • Provide accurate information about your system, its history, and the issue
  • Make timely payment per the invoice terms
  • Notify us of any property condition (locked gates, pets, security systems, etc.) that affects service
  • Be at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of the property owner

7. Cancellation

Scheduled service appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without charge up to four (4) hours before the scheduled arrival window. Cancellations inside that window may incur a trip fee equal to the standard diagnostic charge.

8. Communications Consent

By submitting a form on our Site, calling our phone number, or scheduling service, you consent to:

  • Receiving phone calls and text messages from Murray HVAC Pros at the phone number you provided
  • Receiving automated text messages regarding your service request, including appointment confirmations, technician arrival updates, follow-up, and maintenance reminders
  • Having your phone calls recorded for quality assurance purposes (a notification will play at the beginning of recorded calls)

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may opt out of call recording by ending the call. Consent to communications is not a condition of service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Murray HVAC Pros's total liability under any claim arising from services performed shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. Murray HVAC Pros is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Murray HVAC Pros, its owners, officers, employees, and qualified subcontractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your provision of inaccurate information, or property conditions not disclosed at the time of service.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our Site, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Murray HVAC Pros and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our Site or services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation between you and Murray HVAC Pros. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Salt Lake County, Utah, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute that proceeds in court rather than arbitration shall be filed in the state or federal courts of Salt Lake County, Utah.

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. The Last Updated date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Your continued use of our Site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
